Diversity Training that makes a Dramatic Point.

“Talking about race and inclusion can be so polarizing…my presentation helps foster more candid dialogue.”
          -Michael Fosberg

Incognito IS NOT a webinar, PowerPoint, lecture, speaker or game/role playing presentation.

Incognito IS a dynamic & dramatic teaching tool. Award-winning actor/writer Michael Fosberg’s autobiographical play, Incognito, takes diversity training to a dramatically different level. His extraordinary story is engaging on a deeply personal level because it explores how quickly and easily perceptions can be challenged. After thirty years of thinking he was “white”, Michael uncovers his biological father and discovers he is “black”. The result is a deeply moving one-man performance that has broad-based appeal with corporate audiences.

  • Studies have shown people learn and absorb a great deal more through the use of the arts.
  • Challenging identity preconceptions is thought provoking and change inducing.
  • The show speaks to real life issues of race, identity, gender, age, and biases, offering employees an opportunity to discover shared experiences.
  • Storytelling bestows individuals and corporations with a profound sense of identity.
  • The format of the performance offers a chance for REAL dialogue in a way lectures, speakers, and group exercises do not.
In addition to performing his dramatic personal story in which he portrays more than a dozen different characters from his life, Michael gently guides groups across topics the play exposes; stereotypes, biases, micro-inequities, identity and more.

The 90-minute presentation requires minimal tech support and can be “staged” in a conference room of 50 to 500.

Having presented hundreds of shows over the years has armed him with the knowledge and expertise to probe audience response and keep the dialogue moving in a non-threatening and constructive way.

“The presentation created many openings for introspection, and I found the presentation method both a welcome change from lecture approach and much more conducive to maintaining interest and creating food for thought.”
